Yoga Club runs for 7 weeks from Thursday 9th June 2022 from 3.20pm - 4.20pm.
The aim of Yoga Club at Castle Hill is to introduce children to yoga postures, breathing and relaxation techniques through lots of FUN! Classes are creatively designed and involve games, circle work, partner work and working in small groups. Suitable music from classical, theatre, Disney and pop are used to help create a fun and relaxing environment in which to learn. Yoga is a complete form of exercise, and the benefits include improved muscle strength, motor skills, balance, flexibility, and concentration. The children grow in confidence as they grow stronger; gain more body awareness and a sense of self. Learning to relax can help them deal with the pressures and stresses of modern-day life. Certificates are given out at the end of each term.
The club is run by Tracy Stapleton who has worked in the fitness industry for 23 years and has been teaching children’s yoga for 17 years, is fully insured, holds a first aid certificate and is DBS checked. She is also a Level 3 Childcare Practitioner, so has in-depth knowledge about how children learn physically and cognitively and how she can support them socially and emotionally and how to apply this to enhance her yoga classes.
Sessions are £5 each. Places can be secured by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with your enquiry. Tracy will then take details about your child’s class, emergency contact numbers and about any special medical conditions.
Payments can be made by bank transfer or cheque.
