At Castle Hill, we want to ensure the well-being of the whole school and ensure we promote an understanding of the importance of pupils’ physical well-being whilst promoting healthy lifestyles. We intend for our Physical Education to develop our pupils’ understanding of what it takes to establish a long-lasting healthy lifestyle. We provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way, which supports their health and fitness.

We have worked hard to be able to offer the children a variety of PE experiences, and we are fortunate enough to have indoor and outdoor space for our lessons, including a large field. At Castle Hill, we regularly join other schools to compete in a variety of competitions and festivals, available to all children. In addition to this, we run a variety of after school clubs either with our school staff or external providers. These include, but not limited to:
Throughout the year, children will also attend a wide variety of festivals and competitions both in our local borough and surrounding boroughs.
We are also proud to have achieved the School Games Platinum Award for the school year 22/23. The Platinum Award was introduced in 2017 as the highest level of award, recognising High Quality P.E., Sports Leadership, Intra-School and Inter-School Competitions, promotion of School Games Values, Inclusion and Club Links. A special thanks to all of the staff members that have run clubs and supported children at events, and parents for their continued support at home.https://www.premierleague.com/news/3231916
