Welcome to Castle Hill Primary School
On behalf of everyone at Castle Hill Primary School, I would like to welcome you and your child to our school and hope that you have a happy, exciting and productive learning journey with us.
We are a busy, but friendly school, with lots going on. Our aim is to work in partnership with parents, to build on the experiences and skills you have already developed with your child at home. Everyone at Castle Hill has high standards and expectations in all we do.
We take enormous pride in the fact that we always do our best in terms of social, sporting, creative and academic achievements. We believe every member of the Castle Hill Community; pupils, parents, staff, governors and supporting professionals have a vital role to play in ensuring our school is the very best it can be, this means we all routinely go ‘that extra mile’.Read more
Eight years on and I am so pleased that I choose to send my children to Castle Hill. The school has seen many changes over the years ... but my initial feeling that this school would provide a happy, calm and encouraging environment for my children to learn in, has always remained the same.CASTLE HILL PARENT
In recent times with the ever-changing rules and regulations concerning the pandemic the school has continued to operate smoothly. Firstly, providing safe procedures for children and adults in and around the school and secondly, an excellent remote learning programme for all children.CASTLE HILL PARENT
- As I walked around the school looking for a nursery placement, I was delighted with what I saw. I found a sense of happiness from smiling children and adults, a celebration of achievement from the photos and work of children on the walls and an eagerness to learn as I witnessed children raising their hands to answer questions, in an eloquent fashion.CASTLE HILL PARENT
As a new member of staff, joining in September 2020, I was extremely impressed with how dedicated and talented my colleagues were. Castle Hill has a very welcoming and inclusive ethos where pupils are encouraged to do their best. There is good professional development for staff and a headteacher who is supportive and is passionate about the school and its community.

We have been impressed with the school during COVID19. The teachers are so encouraging and they seem to have a great balance of how much to give the kids on Tapestry. The teachers always respond and comment on our child’s work and have kept in contact so well. They only taught our child face to face for about three months but it’s had a huge impact.CASTLE HILL PARENT
