Governors

The Governing Body is responsible, together with the Headteacher, for the strategic management of the school. Governors also carry out particular responsibilities through the Finance, Premises, Curriculum and Personnel Sub-Committees. They establish with the Headteacher and the staff the aims and policies of the school and how standards of education can continue to be improved through the School Improvement Plan and the use of the school budget. They ensure all curriculum and legal requirements are met.

Governing body meetings are held termly at the school. Parents can attend as observers by prior agreement with the Chairperson. Copies of the agenda and minutes are available at the school. There is consultation at all times between the Headteacher, the Chairperson and the Governing Body. Parents wishing to become Governors are encouraged to apply when vacancies arise.

If parents want to contact a member of the Governing Body, a letter can be left at the School Office, or telephone Mrs Sally Randall, the Clerk to the Governing Body.
